Pace University has daytime, evening and weekend classes for students on a J-1 visa. they have a campus in North White Plains that can be reached via metro north trains. The main campus is in Pleasantville. Students will have access to the campus gym and pool.

                                                                  LIU Post Is on Long Island they offer specialized classes for au pairs on weekends. FIT is in Manhattan. it is a long commute but offers classes in art and design.

WCC has campuses all over the county and affordable pricing for a variety of classes and subjects. They offer daytime, evening and weekend options

We’re looking forward to the return of in-person learning and are committed to offering you a variety of new travel courses highlighting North America’s greatest cities and what makes them so special. Just imagine taking your learning experience to iconic places like those pictured below!

As a first step, we’re excited to offer hybrid courses focused on New Orleans, New York City and Washington, DC.  Each of these courses combines remote learning with in-person, expertly guided day tours to some of the most amazing cities in the United States.

Au Pair Weekend

Each weekend is the equivalent of three credit hours of class work and requires you to complete projects and papers either prior to or after the weekend. These classes, first offered in 1996, provide a variety of personal development opportunities and information that will help you understand American culture. These courses are open to all students. They are attended mainly by au pairs, but American students are present almost every weekend.

Classes are offered about one weekend each month. Most course weekends take place at the Silver Bay YMCA of the Adirondacks campus on Lake George, however some courses are held in Albany NY, and Las Vegas. We are looking for other locations to add more courses as well! If you are in America with a student Visa, you are required to take the equivalent of six credit hours of class per year. Each of our weekend courses, plus the required papers and projects, are equivalent to three credit hours of class work.

You must log into your online account and print out the I-94 document. Then schedule an appointment at your local Social Security office and go in person to have your card issued.
